Clark County woman faces 81 forgery counts, accused of stealing over $140K

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Clark County woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars in rent checks.

Samantha Burris, 39, has been charged with 81 counts of first-degree forgery and one count of first-degree theft. Her first court appearance was Tuesday.

While working for Affinity Property Management, Burris allegedly altered and then deposited rent checks and money orders from tenants into her personal account for her own use.
