Portland’s first game store co-op leaving Hollywood District after costly break-ins

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Oregon’s first worker-owned and operated game store is leaving its location in Northeast Portland’s Hollywood District, citing costly burglaries and a need for more space.

From Magic: The Gathering to Pokémon to Dungeons & Dragons, there isn’t a board or card game that hasn’t been played at Player’s Union Games on Northeast 42nd Avenue.

The store has been open since 2019, with the worker co-op taking over ownership two years ago…
