Washington County ranks 3rd in state amid record-high year for whooping cough cases

As whooping cough cases reach an all-time high in Oregon, Washington County is also seeing spikes with 188 cases having been reported through Dec. 10.

That number places the second-largest county in third place for the highest number of reported cases in the state for 2025, Washington County trails Clackamas County by only one case. Comparatively, the number of whooping cough reports in Washington County rose by 45 cases over last year’s numbers.
