MCSO Identifies Man Killed in Single-vehicle Crash on Sauvie Island in Oregon

MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OR – The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has released the identity of a man killed in a single-vehicle crash reported last week on Sauvie Island.

The investigation began at approximately 2:50 P.M. on Monday, December 8, 2025. Dispatchers from the Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) received reports of a vehicle fire with human remains discovered nearby in the 23000 block of Northwest Oak Island Road.

The driver and deceased individual has been identified as Francis Thomas Grice, Jr., 39. Detectives do not believe there were any other occupants inside the pickup at the time of the crash…
