Judge sends Portland man accused of terrorizing Sandy Hook victim’s father to Oregon State Hospital

PORTLAND, Oregon — Kevin Purfield, a man accused of terrorizing the father of a child killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting, was sent to the Oregon State Hospital after a brief hearing in court.

Purfield, who has multiple stalking and harassment convictions, faces another count of stalking and 10 counts of telephonic harassment, this time allegedly targeting an Oregon Health and Science University employee.
