PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland man has died nearly three months after he was injured as a pedestrian in a crash in Northeast Portland involving a TriMet bus, authorities said.
Scott Tierney, 74, died on December 16 of injuries he sustained in the crash, which occurred on September 19.

On the morning of the crash, around 8 a.m., the Portland Police Bureau said they responded to the reported incident near Northeast 16th Avenue and Northeast Sandy Boulevard. When officers arrived, they learned a pedestrian was taken to the hospital with what was thought at the time to be non-life-threatening injuries. A TriMet bus was involved in the crash.
After the man’s death, the Medical Examiner’s Office notified PPB’s Major Crash Team Sergeant. The PPB Traffic Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate. So far, police have not announced any arrests or citations in connection with the crash…
