Police ID 18-year-old who allegedly flashed gun at bus passengers, fled officers in North Portland

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has publicly identified the man who allegedly brandished a gun at TriMet passengers on Wednesday — then triggered an hours-long manhunt after he fled into a North Portland neighborhood.

Michael Sherman, 18, faces charges of menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, interfering with public transportation, second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree escape, reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest, court records show.
