PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man accused of stabbing two people within blocks of each other in Northeast Portland is in custody after a week-long search, according to Portland police.
Richard Scott Stuart, 54, was located inside a home in the area of 3600 NE 13th Ave late on Dec. 30. Portland police brought on its Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT) to help make the arrest.

Stuart faces multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder in the second degree, two counts of first-degree assault, four counts of second-degree assault, one count of fourth-degree assault, and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
