TriMet is seeking community input via open houses and surveys while mulling a proposal package that includes eliminating bus service in south Gresham.
The transit organization is trying to bring service levels in line with revenues by reducing duplicate efforts and making the bus and MAX system more efficient. The service cuts proposed for August 2026, which include changes in Gresham, would help address a $300 million budget gap and come on the heels of about $150 million in spending reductions.
The August 2026 changes were spurred by community and rider feedback. The proposed changes affects 35 bus lines; shortens the MAX Green Line; and eliminates Line 82 in South Gresham. For a full list of proposed cuts and changes, visit: https://trimet.org/servicecuts/…
