DA Vasquez moves to charge people who don’t engage in drug treatment within 90 days

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez plans to charge people who refuse addiction recovery help.

Vasquez says since hard drugs were recriminalized, more than 500 people went into deflection, but there were no results, and that many were just entering and leaving after a quick assessment.
