Police on Tuesday said an e-scooter rider was traveling the wrong way in a Southeast Portland bike lane on Friday when they collided with the driver of a mini-motorcycle in a fatal crash.
The motorcycle driver, who police identified Tuesday as Stephen W. Hicks, 66, died at the scene.
Hicks was riding in a bike lane near Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Tibbetts Street shortly before 5 a.m. when he collided with an e-scooter rider that was traveling south in the northbound lane, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement…
