Gresham man arrested in connection with ‘dozens’ of utility trailer thefts throughout Oregon, Washington

PORTLAND, Ore. — A Gresham man accused of stealing dozens of utility trailers, then reselling them across Oregon and Washington has been arrested again. In one instance, court records say, he sold a stolen trailer to someone in Beaverton — then stole it to sell it to yet another person.

Nickolas Alexander Edwards, 34, faces multiple charges in Marion and Multnomah counties, including counts of first-degree theft, three counts of an unauthorized use of a vehicle and four counts of possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Multnomah County on Tuesday, Edwards had been previously arrested and prosecuted for trailer theft in Clark County in February 2024. Since then, he’s been linked to repeat crimes — all while on GPS ankle monitoring during his pre-trial release…
