Weather Impact Alert issued for Coast Range and Cascades

PORTLAND, Oregon — KGW has issued a Weather Impact Alert as cold air moves into the region, bringing snow to the Coast Range and Cascades.

Forecasters say snow levels could drop to around 500 feet as very cold air from the Gulf of Alaska moves in. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Coast Range and Cascades from tomorrow morning through Thursday morning.

Parts of the Coast Range could see 2 to 3 inches of snow, while the Cascades may receive close to six inches by the end of the day. Light accumulation is possible Tuesday morning around the West Hills, but forecasters do not expect a snowstorm in the lowlands or on the valley floor…
