Amtrak train crashes into Mustang abandoned on Milwaukie railroad tracks

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An Amtrak train was damaged after crashing into a Mustang left abandoned on railroad tracks in Milwaukie Friday evening, authorities said.

Just after 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Southeast Harrison Street and Railroad Avenue on reports of a black sedan stuck on the train tracks.

Although police said they requested railway managers stop train traffic, a train struck the sedan before officers arrived.
