PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland set a new daily rainfall record at Portland International Airport on Monday as an atmospheric river event took place.
The airport recorded 1.08″ of rainfall which breaks the old record of 1.07″ set on the same date in 1950.
Other locations in Willamette Valley recorded even more rainfall. Salem recorded 1.37″ of rainfall breaking the old record of 1.04″ set in 2025. Eugene saw a whopping 2.35″ of rainfall which broke the old record of 1.92″ set there in 1996…
