‘Hurt an entire neighborhood’: Ex-leader sentenced for stealing $100K from Portland nonprofit

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland man has been sentenced for nabbing thousands of dollars from a now-defunct organization that championed businesses in the Alberta neighborhood.

Judge Angela Lucero sentenced Devon Horace to 12 months of probation on Thursday, the Oregon Department of Justice has announced. Court records show Horace previously served as the president of Alberta Main Street from July 2021 and January 2023, but he was indicted on 16 charges in connection to theft from the nonprofit in April 2024.
