HP will close historic Boise site, consolidate in Corvallis and Vancouver

HP Inc. notified employees in Idaho this week that it plans to shut down its site in Boise next year, consolidating some operations at its Corvallis campus and its brand-new office in Vancouver.

“We’ve decided to exit the Boise site at the end of 2027,” HP told employees in a memo Wednesday, according to various news sites in Idaho. The company is in the process of eliminating as many as 8,000 jobs and consolidating its global operations into fewer sites.

HP did not respond to questions Thursday and Friday about the decision to close the Boise site. It hasn’t said how many Idaho workers will lose their jobs, transfer to other locations or if any will remain in Boise and work remotely…
