THURSDAY, FEB. 26
• 5:39 p.m. — Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 30 about 2 miles west of Clatskanie that took the life of Nick Anthony Verne, 32, of Kalama, Washington. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Verne was riding an eastbound Indian Chieftain motorcycle and was negotiating a sweeping right-hand turn when it crossed the centerline into the opposite lane and sideswiped a westbound Toyota Rav4 driven by a 73-year-old Ocean…..
