Michelin-starred chefs, Food Network celebrities flock to Portland for special dinners

Chef Gregory Gourdet’s upcoming collaboration with Atomix, the New York restaurant ranked No. 1 in North America, will likely go down as the local food event of the year.

But Kann isn’t the only local restaurant rolling out the red carpet for a visiting chef, or series of chefs.

Most impressively, Cafe Rowan — a brunch favorite among our readers at 4437 S.E. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. — has been drawing award-winning chefs from celebrated restaurants in New York, Chicago, Denver and more for special dinners at its Creston-Kenilworth digs since November.
