Water main break closes parts of Northeast Multnomah Street in the Lloyd District

PORTLAND, Ore. — A water main break caused a downtown Portland street to be shut down for hours has been fixed, but officials warn that traffic will continue to be affected well into Saturday night.

Brandon Zero of the Portland Water Bureau told KGW that he expects Northeast Multnomah Street will open to traffic around 9 p.m.

Around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the Portland Water Bureau reported crews were responding to the water main break that’s caused flooding in the street for approximately three blocks, which prompted a closure of the street between Northeast 11th and 13th avenues by Holladay Park…
