PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Cleveland High School in Southeast Portland is one of three Portland Public Schools set to undergo a major renovation starting in the next few months. However, a small but vocal group is now making an eleventh-hour effort to prevent the school from being demolished.
The Cleveland community has been waiting for repairs for more than a decade, as other PPS high schools were modernized first. A nearly $2 billion voter-approved school bond passed last year is now making it happen.
