COWLITZ COUNTY, Wash. — Two people were injured Sunday evening after a crash on Interstate 5 sent one vehicle down a steep embankment, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Units from Washington State Patrol and Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue found one vehicle about 200 feet down an embankment, tangled in dense blackberry bushes. Fire crews used a low-angle rope rescue to safely reach and remove a patient from the ravine.
