Man accused of slashing woman’s neck extradited from Kentucky to Clark County Jail

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man accused of slashing a Vancouver woman’s neck in front of her infant child has been returned to Washington to face trial, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Dariel Nunez-Montero, now 32, was arrested in Kentucky in 2025 on charges related to a large-scale diesel theft operation that resulted in a loss of over $18,000.

He pleaded guilty to engaging in organized crime in March and was returned to Clark County, where officials say he will now face charges for the murder of 31-year-old Courtney Valencia Clinton.
