Married couple arrested after man injured in shooting at North Portland apartment complex

PORTLAND, Ore. — A married couple faces criminal charges following a shooting at a North Portland apartment complex that left a man hospitalized on Sunday, the Portland Police Bureau said.

Police officers responded at 4:05 a.m. to the apartments on North Willis Boulevard, near North Interstate Place. A man told police he was shot while leaning out of his apartment window to toss a key to a friend who was on the sidewalk. He was taken to the hospital with an injury to his upper arm that is not expected to be life threatening.

Detectives identified the suspect as 35-year-old Tony McDonald, who was illegally staying in a vacant unit in the same apartment complex, Portland police said. Police officers couldn’t immediately locate him…
