Investment firm becomes latest business to decamp difficult downtown Portland corridor

Investment firm Charles Schwab told customers it will leave its downtown Portland branch in June, according to an email obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive, becoming the latest business to depart Southwest Morrison Street.

The email did not say if or where it plans to reopen in the city. The webpage for the Portland branch lists about a dozen staff members. Schwab’s nearest other locations are in Beaverton, Vancouver and Salem.
