PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A driver is injured, and a 30-year-old man was arrested after a police chase and crash on Interstate 205 in southeast Portland on Thursday evening.
Around 9:30 p.m., a deputy with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said a white BMW SUV nearly hit their patrol SUV near Southeast Grand Avenue and Southeast Harrison Street in Portland. Several other drivers also had to quickly break to avoid being hit by the BMW, deputies said.
After allegedly refusing to pull over, the BMW began to lead officers with multiple agencies on a police chase, ultimately getting onto I-205, deputies said.
Just before the Southeast Stark Street exit, the driver, later identified as Casey Padula by MCSO, sideswiped a black pickup and caused it to roll, deputies said…
