VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A child drowned after falling into a retention pond in a Virginia Beach neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed.
Officers responded to the report of a missing child in the 4700 block of Padma Court around 1 p.m. They immediately started to canvass the area and located the child unresponsive in a nearby body of water.
