TIMBERVILLE, Va., (WAVY) — Virginia law enforcement officials are warning people about a fuel pump scam in a Facebook post.

Look out for screws or other objects in the fuel pump handle. This could keep the pump from properly stopping after a transaction, causing it to stay on and possibly allow fuel purchases to be charged to the previous customer’s debit or credit card, according to a Timberville Police Department Facebook post.
