HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — A severe storm has caused damage, flooding and other issues across the Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina regions.
The Moyock Volunteer Fire Department says it has confirmed reports of multiple power poles and power lines that have snapped between Food Lion and Eagle Creek due to damaging straight-line winds, with power out across much of Moyock. It said there is no estimated time for power restoration. It called for people to use caution if they must travel, and to watch for debris in the road.
It said several crews besides itself are actively responding to storm-related incidents throughout the Moyock area, including the Crawford Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Currituck County Fire-EMS, law enforcement and utility crews…
