MOYOCK, N.C. (WAVY) – Straight-line winds caused significant damage across Moyock, according to a storm update issued Tuesday evening by the Moyock Volunteer Fire Department.
A Tornado Warning was issued for the Moyock area Tuesday afternoon, which expired just after 4 p.m.

Reports indicate that multiple power poles and power lines have snapped between Food Lion and Eagle Creek. These incidents have led to widespread power outages across much of Moyock, with no estimated time for power restoration currently available.
Moyock is in Currituck County. The Dominion Energy outage map showed 1/5 of all customers in Currituck County lost power during Tuesday’s storm.
