The Virginia Beach School Board has taken a contrary decision regarding the use of Chromebooks by the students at school. This is a significant step by the district in changing its stance on the role of technology in education.
The Chromebook policy will start at the beginning of the June 2026-27 school year. From the new decision, one can easily see how concerned the district is about providing all learners with equal access to technology and the opportunity to learn in class.
