CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — An apartment fire in the Brentwood neighborhood has left two people without a home.
Firefighters were called to the 900 block of Lake Village Drive Sunday afternoon after smoke was seen coming from a second-floor apartment. Fire crews arrived on scene at 2:20 p.m., with the fire being fire marked as contained at 2:37 p.m.
According to the Chesapeake Fire Department, crews quickly knocked down the fire and kept it from spreading to neighboring units, though one apartment right below was damaged by water.
Both residents made it out safely, and no one was hurt…
