PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Overnight gas prices jumped more than 12 cents. The average price in Virginia is now $3.74, according to AAA.
In Hampton Roads, gas prices are higher than the state average. It will cost you more than $3.80 a gallon to fill your car.
“It’s not great news for people at the pump at Hampton Roads. You’ve seen it overnight,” said Bob McNab, the chair of the Economic Department at Old Dominion University. “Gasoline can jump ten cents or 20 cents a gallon on bad news. And even if peace broke out today, it would drift much more slowly and downward.”…
