Dominion Power proposes price hike to recoup approximately $922 million in fuel costs

NORFOLK, VA. (WAVY) – Dominion Energy is seeking a long-term plan that would see customers cover fuel costs accrued over the past year. The estimated total of these costs comes to around $922 million.

By following the industry standard of paying back the fuel costs in just 1 year, Dominion customers would be charged an additional $21 a month. To avoid this, Dominion has asked the Virginia State Corporation Commission if they can spread approximately $922 million across a 7- or 10-year plan.
