Regina Mobley announces retirement after more than 45 years in news

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Regina Mobley, longtime WAVY anchor and reporter and one of Hampton Roads’ most respected broadcast journalists, has announced her retirement after more than 45 years in television and radio news.  Her final day on the air will be Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Mobley built a distinguished career covering the people, institutions and defining moments of Hampton Roads, Virginia and the nation. Known for her incisive reporting, thoughtful interviews and commanding on-air presence, she has reported on education, law enforcement, politics, the military, public safety, natural disasters, entertainment and issues affecting communities across the region…
