NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A 20-year-old Norfolk man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting on Arcadia Street in June, Norfolk Police said.

Homicide detectives have charged Jah-Tez A. Diggs, 20, with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to a shooting that took place around 2 p.m. June 27, when police got the call to respond to the 3500 block of Arcadia Street for a report of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they found a woman inside a car and suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, Norfolk Police said. The woman, Teona A. Purnell, 19, of Virginia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Diggs was arrested Wednesday and is being held without bond in Norfolk City Jail…
