CHEASPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Ronaldo Bartholomew was sentenced to 30 years in prison after a shooting in Chesapeake left two people hurt in June 2025.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of South Military Highway after it was reported that person in vehicle fired several shots into another occupied vehicle. One person suffered a gunshot wound and another was injured by broken glass.

With the assistance of Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) data and a CPD K-9, the suspect vehicle was located in Norfolk. Police later arrested Bartholomew and charged him with aggravated malicious wounding, attempted aggravated malicious wounding, firearm offenses, and shooting at an occupied vehicle.
