NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Thousands across the Commonwealth and beyond attended the third annual Cousins Festival at Scope Arena in Norfolk Saturday.
After a downpour pour of rain on Sept. 5, organizers made the decision to delay the festival and later shift the entire event inside but that didn’t stop attendees from showing up and showing out.

Headliners Plies, The Dream, Keyshia Cole and T.I. brought the energy and took attendees back with a variety of nostalgic hip hop and R&B music.
The festival opened with sets from popular DJs including Jae Murphy, DJ Quicksilva, DJ Boof and DJ Envy along with stage host Domonique Da Diva.
American songwriter and music producer had the people on their feet during his set. Attendees were surprised during his set when he brought out popular acts including Jack Freeman, Day 26, Lil Mo and Jagged Edge.

Not only did attendees get to enjoy the live music but they have a plethora of food and drink options. Local businesses, including Lobstah Kings, Ziggy’s Street Eats and the Lit Food Trailer, brought a variety of food options. The festival also featured stands from popular brands including Patron and Dusse. The festival also featured a merchandise stand.
Festival founders issued a statement via Instagram, thanking all who attended the festival.
