CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A woman who was charged in connection with a fatal crash on Military Highway in June 2025 was sentenced in Chesapeake Circuit Court Wednesday morning, according to online court records.
On Sept. 10, Victoria Pipkin was sentenced to 15 years in prison with five years suspended for the involuntary manslaughter DUI charge. Pipkin will have five years of supervised probation. She will also have to pay around $1,727 in costs.
For a driving while under the influence charge, Pipkin will have a hearing in Chesapeake Circuit Court on Dec. 1.
Driver charged with DUI-manslaughter after fatal crash on Military Highway
At around 11:21 p.m. on June 17, Chesapeake Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash in the 2600 block of Military Highway. When officers arrived to the scene, they discovered that a van traveling westbound hit another vehicle that had stopped and was on the road’s right shoulder.
Two people were outside the stopped vehicle, and one person was inside of it. One of the people who was outside of the vehicle was fatally hit and pronounced dead at the scene…
