CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) —The Great Bridge Lock is closed to maritime traffic while emergency repairs are taking place Thursday, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District.
It said the lock is currently inoperable during the emergency repairs, which are expected to be completed by midnight, at which time the lock is scheduled to return to operation.
