NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Three Norfolk public schools will be no more at the end of this school year, while another will be repurposed as part of the next phase of the school division’s consolidation and closure plan approved almost a year ago.
One phase of that plan is already done, but now the division is working through Phase 2, and community meetings took place Monday and Tuesday about what’s to come during this phase.
NPS: No teachers or staff affected by consolidationplan have lost their positions
Willoughby Early Childhood Center and Norview Elementary School are the two campuses that closed during Phase 1 of the NPS school consolidation plan.
At the end of this current school year schools like P.B. Young, Tarrallton and Granby Elementary schools will be closing, too, while Lindenwood Elementary will be repurposed for another use…
