CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Kasiam Tinsley, 36, was recently sentenced to ten years for armed robbery, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, and other related felony and misdemeanor charges related to a robbery on August 21, 2025.
Evidence established that the Tinsley entered a business on Bainbridge Boulevard in Chesapeake wearing a mask and displayed a firearm as he approached the clerk behind the counter. The defendant threw a bag at the clerk and ordered her to “put the money in the bag” as he went into the back room to stop the manager from attempting to call the police.
After seizing the phone, he went back to the sales floor, removed cash from the register and merchandise from the shelves before leaving the business…
