NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Fire-Rescue is investigating the cause of a structure fire Tuesday morning involving cargo trailers connected to loading docks on Azalea Garden Road.
Firefighters responded to a report of a commercial fire in the 4500 block of Azalea Garden Road. Upon arrival, crews found a large body of fire and smoke coming from the cargo trailers. A commercial assignment was requested at 7:57 a.m., followed by a second alarm response.
Firefighters deployed multiple master stream handlines and used the aerial to direct water down onto the fire. Crews contained the fire to the exterior cargo containers and loading dock area and prevented it from extending further into the building…
