Portsmouth police need help locating murder suspect

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth police are asking for the public’s assistance with a cold case investigation.

On April 13, 2015 around 2:15 p.m., police dispatch received call for a gunshot wound on the 1900 block of Holladay Street.

When police arrived on the scene, the found an unresponsive woman. The victim was later identified as Emily Spence.

Detectives are looking for 32-year-old Vincent Roderick Taylor. Taylor is wanted for first-degree murder, principals in the 2nd degree, use of firearm, conspiracy, firearm by felon and burglary.

Police say Taylor should be consider armed and dangerous.
