Suspect arrested in connection with Hampton robbery after providing false ID

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – The Hampton Police Division have arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery at a 7-Eleven that occurred in August .

Police say that 36-year-old Lonnie Lorenzo Holland has been arrested and charged with one count each of robbery and grand larceny in connection with a robbery at a 7-Eleven in the 500 block of Aberdeen Road on Aug. 15.

According to officials, Holland was apprehended after officers were notified of a burglary in the 1300 block of West Queen Street on Jan. 28 at approximately 8:41 p.m.

Officers say that a foot pursuit ensued after Holland provided a false name before fleeing from the scene on foot.

Holland was eventually taken into custody and charged with one count of burglary, one count of obstruction and one count of providing false ID in connection with the Jan. 28 incident.
