VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – One person was forced out of their home after a fire in Virginia Beach Saturday evening, officials said. Just before 7 p.m., the Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a blaze at a single-story residence on Thompkins Lane and General Street. Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the home when firefighters arrived.
