17-year-old arrested in connection with shots fired incident in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The Chesapeake Police Department responded to a shots fired incident Saturday afternoon.

Officials said that at approximately 2:13 p.m. on Feb. 10, officers were notified of a fight where shots were fired in the 700 block of Villa Drive.

Police arrived to the scene and made contact with some of the individuals involved in the incident.

An investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male, who was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, willful discharge of a firearm in public and possession of a firearm under the age of 18.

No injuries were reported.
