Chesapeake stabbing leaves man hospitalized, police searching for suspect

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake police are investigating a stabbing that left a man hospitalized.

Saturday around 8:40 p.m. police responded to the 1500 block of Crossways Boulevard for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Deven Taitano suffering from a stab wound. They immediately began to administer first aid until Taitano was taken to a local hospital.

An investigation revealed that 26-year-old Taylor Kevon Truss is responsible for the stabbing, according to police.

Truss has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and police are still searching for him.
