PORTSMOUTH, Va. – A man was shot Thursday night at the Portsmouth waterfront near the Renaissance hotel, according to Portsmouth police. Just after 10 p.m., moments after the Elizabeth River fireworks display ended, officers responded to the 400 block of Water Street to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
