Back to School Event at the Virginia Zoo
Saturday, Aug. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Virginia Zoo; free with general zoo admission
Celebrate before school goes back in session at the Virginia Zoo. There will be local community organizations, family resources, a book fair and more. And, it marks the end to the summer School Supplies Donation Drive. Find out ways to donate and win prizes here .
Sunsets on the River Concert Series
Thursday, Aug. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hermitage Museum & Gardens; Tickets required for guests over 10 and non-members
The summer concert series continues with Request Station playing this week. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 6 p.m. and continues to 9 p.m. Enjoy beverages, local food trucks, visit the summer exhibition on-site and more. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to relax and listen to the show.
